How to Use Kiosk Mode in E-Hallpass
Creating your Kiosk (on your device)
- Click the “+ Kiosk” button in the top right of the screen.
- Select the FROM location for the Kiosk you are setting up.
- All passes from this Kiosk will be listed as coming from that location.
- The "ME" option shows all passes as coming from you.
- Click “Create” and your Kiosk will show up under the “Active” list of Kiosks and can be activated.
Activating Kiosk on the Chromebook
Sign into Chromebook using the dedicated Securely login. It should automatically open https://pass.securly.com/kiosk/login.
- This method is highly recommended for any Chromebook devices because it does not require the faculty user to log into Pass using their Google credentials.
- Jot down the CODE (or email it to yourself). The Code is valid for 30 minutes. You can regenerate the code if it expires by clicking on the three (3) dots to the right of the Kiosk and clicking on “Regenerate”.
- Go to the device you wish to put into KIOSK mode and open this URL: and enter the CODE.
- To launch multiple kiosks, complete step 2 above, then return to your device and click "Regenerate". Write down the new code, and use this new code to set up the next kiosk. Repeat this for as many devices as you would like to set up.
